revleitner, a veteran of the Music League competition, stood atop the final standings of League 13 with 80 points — a performance built on 1 round win and consistent point accumulation across 5 themed rounds. The runner-up, sgigs, finished with 76 points — a creditable showing that nonetheless left a meaningful gap between first and second place.
The league's most-discussed submission was "Love Shack" by The B-52's, entered by Brian and awarded 14 points by the voting group. Analysts of competitive curation noted the selection as well-suited to its round theme and broadly appealing to the voter cohort.
"I tried to submit."

The competition unfolded across a series of themed rounds. The "Fitz's theme - Sorry, I don’t know that one" round, ultimately won by Brian with a score of 10 points, set an early tone for the season. "Anna's theme - Karaoke power ballads" went to Brian with "Love Shack" by The B-52's (14 pts). And for "Amy's theme - late bloomers" went to jsexe with "Here I Go Again - 2018 Remaster" by Whitesnake (12 pts). The pattern held throughout.
First-timers Lowell joined the fray, an injection of new blood into the rotation. Buni.Ribbit took a break from the competition this time around. Movement in the rankings saw revleitner climbed 3 spots and sgigs climbed 9 spots. The changes to the competitive field did not appear to materially alter the dynamics of the contest.
Genre-wise, rock dominated, with classic rock close behind. Nostalgia for the 1990s ran deep throughout. Whether these preferences reflect a considered aesthetic philosophy or simply the tastes of a particular peer group is, as ever, difficult to determine without further data.
revleitner did not respond to requests for comment. League 14 is expected to begin in due course.
