okay so jsexe won league 42 and honestly? good for them

5 rounds. 86 songs. One winner. A lot of strong opinions I am absolutely going to share.

Okay so I didn't fully expect jsexe to run away with this one, but here we are. 60 points, 3 round wins, and a lead that was frankly uncomfortable to watch if you were Jaso(n). Good? Great. Moving on. A 6-point margin sealed the result.

The song that lives in my head from this whole league is "Shattered Dreams" by Johnny Hates Jazz. jsexe submitted that. 11 points. It hit. I don't know what else to say. Sometimes a song choice is just correct and that was one of them.

The rounds themselves were a whole journey. "Eric's Theme - Music League!" was the opener and jsexe took it with "New Song" — "Carrie's Theme - Run For Your Life!" went to jsexe with "A Day At The Races" by Jurassic 5, Percy P, Big Daddy Kane (7 pts). And for "Dan's Theme - Achievement in Cinematography" went to jsexe with "Shattered Dreams" by Johnny Hates Jazz (11 pts). There were some genuinely bold picks this league and I respect that even when I disagreed.

The sonic palette leaned toward classic rock and new wave. A clear 2000s lean was unmistakable in the picks.
