Came for the music, stayed for the standings drama. Here's my honest assessment. Overall: 4 stars. Fitz won with 57 points and honestly, fine, I accept it. The service — meaning the competition format, the themes, the voting — was solid this league. 5 rounds felt like the right length. Not too short, not too long. I've had longer leagues and I leave feeling tired. This was good pacing.
Standout "menu item": "Backwater" by Meat Puppets, submitted by revleitner. 10 points. Legitimately the best thing served this league. Would recommend to a friend. Comes back to that round theme perfectly. revleitner clearly knew what they were doing and I respect the commitment.

Round breakdown (since people keep asking in the comments): "Jason's Theme - Sublime (not the band)" — 8 pts to revleitner, well deserved. "Jared's Theme - Three’s a Crowd" was more divisive, winner revleitner with 10 pts — I personally would have voted differently but that's the whole point I guess. There were 3 more rounds and they were also fine or good.
sgigs and Joe sat this one out, their absence noted. In the standings, Fitz climbed 4 spots, Eric climbed 7 spots. The changing lineup is part of the experience at this point. I don't always love change but it keeps things interesting.
Pros: Great music selection overall. Good theme variety. The community of 10 is the right size. Could improve: nothing specific, I just wanted a better result for myself personally. That's a me problem.
Will absolutely return for League 39. Fitz — good run, tip your servers, see you next season.
