Okay so I've been staring at these results for a while and I have thoughts. revleitner ran away with it — 85 points, 1 round win — and honestly? Completely defensible. Shane at 72 was right there though. Not gonna lie, I thought it was going either way until round 3. Genuinely one of the more compelling leagues we've had. Fight me. A 13-point margin sealed the result.
u/league_archaeologist · ↑847 "Lithium" by Nirvana going for 14 points was the most predictable AND most deserved outcome of the whole league. Fitz has been holding onto that one for ROUNDS. You could tell. Perfect timing, couldn't argue with it.
"The gap commercial song will always have a special place in my heart"
sgigs on Jump Jive An' Wail by The Brian Setzer Orchestra · Amy's Theme - When I Say Dance, You Best Dance
u/hot_take_machine · ↑312 The "Shane's Theme - It Don't Mean A Thang If It Ain't Got That Twang" round is the one that I keep coming back to. athenia1013 with "King Tut" — 10 points — was just correct. No notes. The "Fitz's Theme - All About That Bass" round though? A lot going on there. Super took it but it was chaotic.
u/deepcut_destroyer · ↑1204 Same core group every time and it still manages to be unpredictable. That's actually impressive.
**Edit:** Someone DMed me about the genre breakdown — The sonic palette leaned toward alt country and americana. A clear 1990s lean was unmistakable in the picks. Which tracks. Also Super at 45 — sometimes the music is just not for the room, no disrespect.
u/throwaway_musicfan (OP) · **Edit 2:** Thanks for the awards lol. See everyone in League 31. Already thinking about what I'm submitting for round one. Hint: it's not what you expect.
